They were accompanied by Past President Yvonne @yvonne.pangemanan Rotarian Meinar @meinar_ls Rotaractor Mahadi @hi.ahie and Nadia. We began our visit at Taman Mini Indonesia Indah by exploring the Indonesia Museum, followed by the West Sumatera Pavilion and Papua. We then visited the Batik Museum and ended the morning with a ride on the cable car.
In the afternoon, our Club President Tjandra @tjandracschong welcomed the group from the Rotary Club of Yokohama-Hodogaya with an internal meeting and we exchanged club banners. In the evening, we treated them to dinner featuring traditional Indonesian food. During dinner, Chair Takahiko presented us with Sake from Japan to enjoy together. After dinner, Rotarian Suryanto @suryantogobeawan our Club Service Project Chair, presented our project proposal for Global Grant. We expressed our hope that the Rotary Club of Yokohama-Hodogaya could become our Sister Club and Rotary Partner. The next day, they were set to return to Japan, but Past President Takahiko would continue on to Surakarta. To maintain this relationship, Club President Tjandra will visit the Rotary Club of Yokohama-Hodogaya at the end of the month.
