The Rotary Club of Jakarta Metropolitan held its Regular Meeting on Thursday, February 13, 2025, at 12:30 PM at The Sultan Hotel, led by Club President Dina Ernawati Saksono.
This week, we had the honor of hosting two distinguished guest speakers.
Our first speaker was Dra. Pusparani H.C. Hakim, M.Psi, Chairwoman of Yayasan Psikologi Unggulan Indonesia (YPUI). She is also the wife of Air Chief Marshal (Ret.) Chappy Hakim, the former Chief of Staff of the Indonesian Air Force.
Our second speaker was Mr. Yose Rizal Damuri, Executive Director of the Centre for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS). He delivered an insightful talk on “Making Sense of Global and Domestic Hurdles.” His research focuses on international trade, regional integration, and globalization of value chains. He also actively examines the political economy aspects of international economic governance and the multilateral trading system. Mr. Damuri has authored numerous academic articles and is currently studying the implications of major power rivalries on global and regional economies. He holds a PhD in International Economics from the Graduate Institute of International Studies, Geneva, Switzerland, and is involved in various research networks, including ARTNet, ERIA-RIN, and Think 20, the think tank network of G20 countries.
We hope that both speakers take an interest in Rotary and become eligible Rotarian candidates.
