Selama beberapa tahun terakhir, kontribusi kita untuk Dana Tahunan (Annual Fund) dan Polio Plus telah memberikan hasil luar biasa. Meskipun ada penurunan pada RY22-24 dalam dua tahun Rotary berturut-turut, hingga 22 September, 2024, perolehannya telah menjadi lebih dari tiga kali lipat dibandingkan periode yang sama tahun lalu—sebuah peningkatan yang sangat signifikan.
Mengapa donasi kita begitu penting?
Sejak Rotary Year (RY) 2012-2013 hingga RY 2024-2025, Rotary District 3410 telah mendukung 44 proyek Global Grant dengan total nilai USD 3,49 juta. Yang menarik, kontribusi Rotary International District 3410 yang menjadi District Designated Fund (DDF) hanya sebesar USD 304,089, ditambah sumbangan dari klub-klub sebesar USD 106.578 untuk memenuhi syarat pencocokan dengan Dana World Fund (World Fund Matches). Dengan total investasi sebesar USD 410.667, dana yang berhasil dihimpun mencapai USD 1,486,692.

Inilah yang kita sebut sebagai The Magic of Rotary.
Sebagian besar dari total nilai proyek tersebut berasal dari matching fund yang diberikan oleh World Fund dan mitra internasional. Setiap dolar yang kita donasikan ke Annual Fund akan memperbesar DDF kita, yang kemudian dapat dilipatgandakan oleh matching fund. Ini adalah kekuatan besar dari donasi kita yang mewujudkan The Magic of Rotary—meskipun kontribusi awal yang berasal dari donasi kita tidak sebesar total nilai proyek, berkat matching fund, kita dapat memberikan dampak yang jauh lebih besar di masyarakat kita dan di seluruh dunia.

Over the past several years, our contributions to the Annual Fund and Polio Plus have yielded remarkable results. Despite a decline in Rotary Year 22-24 over two consecutive Rotary years, as of September 22, 2024, the returns have more than tripled compared to the same period last year—a most significant increase.
Why are our donations so important?
From Rotary Year 2012-2013 to Rotary Year 2024-2025, Rotary District 3410 has supported 44 Global Grant projects with a total value of USD 3.49 million. What is truly remarkable is that Rotary International District 3410's contribution to the District Designated Fund (DDF) amounted to only USD 304,089, supplemented by club contributions of USD 106,578 to qualify for matching by the World Fund. With a total investment of USD 410,667, the funds raised reached USD 1,486,692.

This is what we call The Magic of Rotary.
The majority of the total project value comes from matching funds provided by the World Fund and international partners. Every dollar we donate to the Annual Fund increases our DDF, which can then be multiplied through matching funds. This is the great power of our donations, realising The Magic of Rotary—although our initial contributions may not equal the total project value, thanks to matching funds, we can make a far greater impact in our communities and around the world.
