The event took place at Rumah Kayu, starting at 7 PM with a dinner gathering. Attendees included the Boards of Directors of each club, such as President Tri Gunadi Widjaja, Rotarian Ari Wibawa, President Amien Lojaya, PP Bambang Hiu Fuk Sin, PP Elis Prabawa, Secretary Dwi Ernawati, and PP Chandra Wijaya.
During his speech, Assistant Governor Rusli Taslim recommended that the clubs in Lampung become more active, as activities had waned since the COVID-19 pandemic. He suggested environmental service initiatives, such as those led by District Community Service Chair PP Uti Endang Paminto, and encouraged the continuation of the “Ayo Cegah Stunting” education program. He also highlighted the benefits of the oxygen tank aid for the Lampung community and aimed to inspire local Rotarians. Notably, RYE student Elsa Paola MEZA GOMEZ (Paola) from District 4170, Mexico, hosted by Rotary Club of Bandar Lampung, was present; she is currently studying at Penabur Lampung.
In a members’ discussion session, President Tri Gunadi Widjaja expressed a commitment to increasing club activities, especially in light of RIPE Mario’s upcoming visit to support an irrigation project in Lampung. PP Elis Prabawa emphasized that RIPE Mario’s recent visit could serve as a trigger for the club’s revival, and that the Governor’s Visit is expected to provide a “vitamin” boost to the fading enthusiasm in Lampung. Rotarian Yendiawan Toyib shared his appreciation for Rotary International, relaying a farmer’s gratitude for the irrigation aid project that helped boost agricultural productivity. PP Gunawan Hendra from Raden Intan hoped for support through the District Designated Fund for the year 2024-2025, though he did not specify the proposal. PP Daniel Sujana was also in attendance.
